True Beginner Pilates: 6-Week Foundation

You don’t need to be fit, flexible, or experienced to start Pilates.

This 6 week beginner Pilates course is designed for people who are brand new to Pilates, or returning to exercise after a long break. It’s a calm, structured starting point to help you build confidence in your body without rushing, forcing, or feeling like you’re doing it wrong.

Over six weeks, you’ll learn fundamental movements that support a strong, stable body. Classes run at a slow to moderate pace, giving you time to understand what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and where you should feel it.

There’s no pressure to keep up and no expectation to get things perfect. Some movements will feel familiar quickly. Others take a little longer, and that’s completely normal.

Because the course is online, you can pause, rewind, and repeat whenever you need. Move at your own pace, in your own space, and come back to sessions whenever it’s helpful.

Pilates is £79. One payment, lifetime access.

People often notice changes like these as they work through the course:

  • You may notice you feel more confident moving on the floor and getting back up again

  • A growing awareness of your posture and how your spine moves

  • Less gripping and tension through your hips, back, and shoulders

  • A clearer sense of where your core is and how to use it

  • Feeling steadier and more capable in everyday movement

This is often how people describe it afterwards:
“I started this feeling unsure, but by the end I felt confident enough to carry on with Pilates and can now get up from the floor on my own.”

No pressure. No perfection. Just progress.

Course FAQ

  • No. I’ve designed this course for complete beginners and bearing in mind those new to exercise too.

  • Essentially: a Pilates mat (10 mm thick), then a couple of different size blocks or cushions that you may need for support. I have a video on this within the course and retail links to the equipment.

  • You’re safe to do Pilates everyday! Aim for two sessions per week. The more you do the easier you’re mind & body will find the moves.

  • Possibly. If your discomfort is mild, familiar, and tends to ease once you start moving, this course may feel supportive.

If your pain is sharp, changes suddenly, involves pins and needles, numbness, or any loss of bladder or bowel control, stop and seek medical advice before continuing.

If you have ongoing or recurring back issues, my Back Pain Programme offers more specific support. Please make sure you have read and accepted the waiver before starting.
